The institutions and researchers working at the House of Finance all share the common goal of establishing the House of Finance as a leading European center for research and education related to finance. It is on its way to becoming an important international hub for research in this area.
To accomplish this goal the House of Finance as a public-private-partnership welcomes support from companies, foundations and individuals. For example, our impressive data room, that provides researchers as well as students with access to important research data, could only be established thanks to the generous donation of the Alfons- and Gertrud-Kassel-Stiftung. In spring 2011, Goethe University established a House of Finance-Foundation (House of Finance-Stiftung) to facilitate private support.
There are all kinds of reasons why people give to the House of Finance. Some of them are:
- The wish to foster scientific research in financial economics and financial law. Recent years have shown the importance of exploring international financial markets, their products and distortions to provide reliable criteria for political as well as economic decisions.
- The awareness of an internationally renowned research cluster in finance being essential for Frankfurt’s – and thus Germany’s – ambition to become one of the world's most important financial markets.
- The interest in building up contacts to first-rate graduates. The MBA- and executive education programs of Goethe Business School and the LL.M. program of the Institute for Law and Finance attract students from all over the world by combining research based contents with practical experience.
