Welcome to the Doctorate / Ph.D. Program in Law and Economics of Money and Finance at Goethe University
The Doctorate / Ph.D. Program in Law and Economics at Goethe-University which is funded by the foundation "Geld und Währung" began in fall 2009 and offers a profound academic training to highly qualified international postgraduates. Our program addresses graduates of both law and business schools. During an interdisciplinary course program, the students will be prompted to analyze and understand the complexities of financial intermediation and corporate finance as the cornerstone of monetary and financial stability. The program will enable our alumni as outstanding lawyers and economists to successfully apply for academic and non-academic international positions.

With the foundation of this interdisciplinary Doctorate / Ph.D. Program, Frankfurt University seeks to establish one of the leading institutions for the academic postgraduate education in Money and Finance in Europe. To achieve this aim, international visiting professors and researchers from top-ranked European and North American universities will extend the faculty's potential. Additionally, this program can resort to a variety of existing institutions and educational structures at Frankfurt University.
