Christian Schlag appointed member of the International Advisory Board of the University of Paris-Dauphine PSL

The mandate strengthens the close partnership between the two leading centers of finance research and teaching.

As an advisory board member of the renowned Parisian university, Christian Schlag, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics at Goethe University Frankfurt, is now involved in the strategic development of teaching and research as well as the expansion of Paris-Dauphine’s international network. Researchers and members from the corporate and global university partnerships of Paris-Dauphine are represented on the committee.

The research-intensive university in the west of Paris is the only French university that also has the status of a Grande Ecole. It is home to the Paris House of Finance, which was founded in 2015. With a focus on the academic disciplines of finance, economics, mathematics, law and business strategy, it offers education for around 7650 students from bachelor's to doctorate level.

The Department of Economics at Goethe University Frankfurt is connected to Paris-Dauphine through several exchange programmes for students, such as the double bachelor's programme and the double master's programme. The two universities also cooperate closely via the QTEM network and the Global Research Alliance for Sustainable Finance and Investment (GRASFI), which Goethe University joined at the beginning of 2025 via the House of Finance.

On the occasion of his appointment, Christian Schlag said: “I am delighted that by being a member of the international advisory board of the Université Paris-Dauphine, I will have the opportunity to contribute to the further development of this outstanding institution and its close cooperation with the Frankfurt House of Finance and Goethe University as a whole. This will benefit teaching and research at both universities.”
